| We are so proud to have Director’s Cut as a main sponsor to join us in presenting our new and exciting Film Making Workshops.
 The Director's Cut is the first mobile film and imaging studio dedicated to children in Canada who provides the opportunity for children from grades 4-12 to experiment with digital film and imaging software and hardware. As former educators in the public system in Ontario, its founders Bryan and Lori Goldmintz, have created templated workshops to introduce the "digital kid" to everything from publishing storybooks, to comic books, to showing children that toys have a life of their own!. Tweens and teens get a kick out of feature film making (Hollywood style), claymation and expressing their views through the creation of a live action documentary. We are so fortunate to have this team of experienced and enthusiastic film makers/educators to work with the Reel Fun Film Festival! They are most certainly an asset to our festival.

At The Director's Cut, what you think is what you get! In this one of a kind workshop, clay is the main ingredient for fun! You construct your own characters and scenes and then using our stop motion technology and cutting edge video cameras, lap top computers, expert instruction and your imagination, you will bring things to life in your very own Hollywood blockbuster stop motion film! Don't forget to add sound effects, voice overs, special effects, transitions and titles to make your film a shoe in for an Academy Award! Check out all the films at the famous Director's Cut Film Festival on the big screen, complete with family, friends, freshly popped popcorn and your fresh ideas! Each participant receives a copy of all the movies on DVD. Films to be showcased on CBC Kids Saturday morning cartoon line up The Outlet!
Films made at the workshop will be judged by a youth jury on the Saturday evening and the winners will be presented at the closing film at the Reel Fun Film Festival on March 2nd at 1 pm at the Plaza.
Snacks will be provided but please bring your own lunch. |
